Except that they release them in summer and the big company's sale them with 30-40% later in the year. Still wouldn't buy them though unless there are some figures you really want.

Considering that each mini figure in LEGO is valued at about $5-6 and they give you like 8 in those boxes but they also use a bunch of overstock pieces to make up some other junk for the inbetween days. But a lot of people collect those figures so they see the value.

They sell it marked up prices for 2 reasons. 1. Why wouldn't they if people are willing to buy, when you sell something on ebay do you lower the price even when people are giving you higher offers? 2. Regulating stock levels. they put it higher so they don't get all their stock emptied out by the masses and then they won't be able to keep up production. Raise the price a bit and less people will be willing to buy, while the less customers are offset by the higher price, you make the same but less stress on production

And what will your kid be happier with? A) a worthless christmas calendar B) box of 24 pieces lego (or two boxes, for the price) You know, happiness is not bought with the price tag. Ofc you would get more protein from the horse carcass than from a loaf of bread with ham. All that matters is just to make it look nice.
